
Allied Health is a joint venture between the Health Care programs and the Economic and Workforce Development Division to provide a wide selection of continuing education courses to meet continuing education needs of the health care community. Allied health practitioners include medical assistants, pharmacy technicians, massage therapists, corporate wellness coordinators, veterinary technicians and a variety of laboratory and medical specialists. The demand for formally trained allied health professionals will continue to grow, and our school will continue prepare students to take advantage of career opportunities in related fields.
Study of this course will provide students with the required administrative and clinical skills of a Medical Assistant.
Students will gain knowledge and develop the skills in Medical Terminology, Anatomy & Physiology, Phlebotomy,
ECG/EKG, Clinical Procedures, Medical Billing and Practice Management. A career in Medical Assisting is a fast
